FPD
FPD stands for Flat Panel Detector.
This is the X-ray detector which receives X-ray went through the object with the planar detector and converts it into the digital signal. The digital signal will be the images to be diagnosed. FPD has much higher X-ray effectiveness and resolution, less distortion in images and lighter in weight than the conventional X-ray machine. FPD is applied to dental CBCT as the next generation X-ray detecor.
