Jon M. Julian received his Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City Dental School in 1978 after doing his undergraduate work at the University of Kansas. A native Kansan, Jon and his wife Karen have six children. He lived and practiced dentistry McPherson, KS from 1978-2011. In 2010, he started a new adventure, sold his practice in Kansas and relocated to South Carolina to open his new dental practice in December 2011: The Dental Retreat at Mountain Park. The facility not only houses his successful dental practice, but it is also where Dr. Julian holds some of his very popular Over the Shoulder/Hands-On Implant Courses, Laser Courses and CBCT Lectures.
Dr. Julian maintains an active membership in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentists, South Carolina Dental Association, Academy of Laser Dentistry, International College of Oral Implantologists and Doctors for Oral Conscious Sedation. Dr. Julian was the original Implant Instructor and a charter member of the Dr. Dick Barnes Group.
He lectures extensively throughout the United States and Europe on dental implants and the use of lasers and new technology in dentistry and is currently the Dental Director at The Dental Future Center in Philadelphia. He is a visionary in the implementation of technology into the general dentistry practice setting such as digital scanning, cone beam and Platelet Rich Fibrin procedures. He has mentored many doctors down the path of growing their practice through improving communication skills and the addition of technology and new procedures.
Lou Graham, D.D.S.
Dr. Graham is an internationally-recognized lecturer extensively involved in continuing education for dental professionals. His lectures focus on incorporating current clinical advancements through “conservative dentistry.” He emphasizes the same concepts he practices: dental health diagnosis, treatment plans for medically compromised patients, conservative treatment, cosmetic dentistry and customized approaches to periodontal care, implants and laser dentistry.
Dr. Graham is the founder of Catapult Education, a continuing education company whose philosophy and programs use contemporary, interactive formats to integrate time-proven conservative dentistry with 21st-century materials and techniques. Dr. Graham is a published author in many leading national and international dental journals. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Chicago Dental Society and Illinois Dental Association.
Dr. Graham is a graduate of Emory Dental School. He is the former Dental Director of the University of Chicago’s Department of Dentistry. He enjoys providing dental care at his multi-specialty private practice group, University Dental Professionals, in Chicago, IL– Hyde Park. Dr. Graham offers half-day, full-day, and multi-day lectures, including custom courses and hands-on workshops.
Sam Halabo, D.M.D.
Dr. Sam Halabo is an accomplished national and international speaker, author and product evaluator. For over 20 years he has run a state-of-the-art private practice in San Diego, CA. He is a graduate of Boston University’s Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry and he completed a General Practice Residency at the Loma Linda Veterans Hospital.
Dr. Halabo is an adjunct faculty member at the University of California at San Diego and an editor for ‘Inside Dentistry’ Magazine. He served as the director of dental care at the UCSD homeless clinic in Pacific Beach, CA. He has been involved in product evaluations for both Catapult Education and Clinicians Report (CR) for many years and is proud and honored to share his knowledge and experience with those seeking to provide excellent dental care for their patients. Dr. Halabo lectures on a variety of topics with an emphasis on improving patient care and the dentists’ enjoyment of their profession by combining technological and clinical advancements with the use of simple practice management tools.
He is a member of the San Diego County Dental Society, California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Laser Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Halabo offers half-day, full-day and multi-day lectures, including custom courses and hands-on workshops.
Jeffrey W. Horowitz, D.M.D., F.A.G.D.
Dr. Jeff Horowitz completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh and earned his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Upon graduation, he completed a general practice residency at the Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, N.J. In 1992, Dr. Horowitz founded the Carolina Center for Advanced Dentistry, a multi-disciplinary group practice in the Conway/Myrtle Beach, SC area. He is also the founder and clinical director for Advanced Sleep and TMJ Centers. His main interests include cosmetic smile rehabilitation, complex restorative cases, treatment of sleep-disordered breathing, orthodontics, and temporomandibular disorders.
An admitted C.E. “junkie”, Dr. Horowitz has earned fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry where he is actively involved locally and nationally. He also serves as a mentor and scientific advisor at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, a key opinion leader/lecturer for the Catapult Education and a clinical instructor for Sleep Group Solutions. His affiliations include the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Orthodontic Society, the Piper Study Club, the American Association of Dental Sleep Medicine, Carolina Sleep Society, and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Dr. Horowitz’s international lectures have been published in dental literature and haves contributed to many television news media reports.
Robert E. Walinchus, D.M.D.
Dr. Robert E. Walinchus, D.M.D. is a 1984 graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry where he received awards in Pediatrics and Radiology. He was a Member of the Oral Surgery Honor society. He is in private practice serving the people of the Philadelphia area for more than 30 years.
He has lectured extensively on the subject of dental cosmetics in the United States and in Europe, with his last lecture taking place at the University of London College of Dentistry. Dr. Walinchus has lectured for the prestigious group Implant Educators for 7 years starting in 2007 to the present. He is also Director of Philadelphia Implant Education. This course, given yearly, teaches dentists from around the country how to integrate Implants into their practices with surgery and prosthetic planning. All live surgeries are performed by Dr. Walinchus in his office in Springfield, Pa. Dr. Walinchus then becomes their mentor sharing his years of experience with his colleagues from around the country.
Dr. Walinchus is a member of numerous organizations including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Society of Hospital Dentists, American Association of Geriatric Dentists, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association. As recently as May 2009, Dr. Walinchus received the most prestigious award of Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). Dr. Walinchus is on staff at Delaware County Memorial Hospital and Riddle Memorial Hospital, Crozier Chester Medical Center and the Surgicenter at Britton Lake where he performs all types of dental treatments while his patients are under General Anesthesia.
Dr. Walinchus is married with three grown children. He and his wife recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Dr. Walinchus also welcomed his third grandchild in September of 2016.
Bernee Dunson, D.D.S.
Dr. Bernee Dunson has been in private practice since 1996 in Atlanta. Dunson Dental Design can best be described as a comprehensive general practice that focuses on aesthetic dentistry and implant reconstruction. Dr. Bernee Dunson received his Bachelor of Science and Biology with honors at Morehouse College. He received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California, completed a general dentistry residency at Columbia University at Harlem Hospital followed by a three-year implant residency at Loma Linda University. Dr. Dunson is an Honored Fellow and the Treasurer of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry.
He currently serves on the faculty for the following Implant Maxicourses: Las Vegas, Oregon, Asia and Japan. Dr. Dunson served as a faculty member at the Georgia Health Sciences Maxicourse (Medical College of Georgia) for 10 years. Dr. Dunson launched and directed the Washington DC Mid-Atlantic Maxicourse in Spring 2018. Dr. Dunson is the Chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors and a member of the Education Oversight committee and the past Chairman and an examiner of the Admissions & Credentialing Board of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He also served on the examiner panel of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. He is an associate editor of “International Journal of Clinical Implant Dentistry”, an article reviewer for “Journal of Oral Implantology” and has published several well-received articles on dental implantology.
Dr. Dunson is the founder and director of the Atlanta Academy for Reconstructive Dentistry where he teaches other dentists from around the world “Comprehensive Implant Dentistry” (A hands-on practicum and live surgery training series focused on all areas of implant dentistry).
Dr. Dunson has trained with some of the world’s leading cosmetic dentists and implant pioneers. He is one of a handful of restorative dentists in Georgia certified in IV conscious sedation. Additionally, he is continuously seeking new opportunities to expand his knowledge base to bring the most effective and leading-edge treatment to his patients.
Dr. Dunson lives in Atlanta with his lovely wife, Hillary Dunson and their children Haley (19) and Drew (17).
Ron Kaminer, D.D.S.
Dr. Ron Kaminer is a 1990 graduate from SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He maintains two practices, one in Hewlett, NY and one in Oceanside, NY. Dr. Kaminer is an international expert in the field of dental lasers and has lectured on lasers, minimally invasive dentistry and Dental technology both nationally and internationally. He is the Director of the Masters of Laser training program in New York, evaluates new dental materials for the Catapult Group and sits on the advisory boards and is a clinical consultant for numerous dental manufacturers. He has authored numerous articles on Dental lasers, Dental technology and minimally invasive dentistry and is an associate editor for Dental Product Shopper. He is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Dental Association. He lives in Hewlett, NY with his wife and three children.
